Quick Answer: What Healing Items Do I Need?

Two official healing items cover everything: bandages for cheap, frequent top-ups and first aid kits for the big emergencies โ€” boss attempts, ambushes, the fight that went sideways. Both are lootable and buyable. Food is the third recovery lane: cooked meat does double duty as hunger and health support in the survival loop.

Enemies randomly drop healing items along with ammo and weapons โ€” every camp cleared is a pharmacy restock.

The Healing Economy

Healing items compete for the same rusted nuts as car parts and upgrades. The efficient loop: let armor reduce damage, let food cover the hunger clock, and spend real healing only when a fight threatens your loot run. Traders sell the kits; the save/reload reroll applies when you need to restock mid-expedition.

Food as Recovery

The official food chain โ€” bugs, dog food, mystery meats up through butchered and cooked meat โ€” feeds the survival clock. Cooked meat is the quality tier: hunt, butcher, cook (rats included, community-confirmed). A fed survivor heals; a hungry one bleeds out twice as fast.
