Ammunition & Calibers Character Guide

Apocalypter guns are officially described as having "different stats and calibers" — ammunition is not one universal item. Carrying the wrong caliber means carrying nothing, so learn what your primary weapon eats before a long expedition.

Loot it from the world, take it from the enemies you kill — they randomly drop the ammo for the weapons they were shooting at you — or buy it from traders with rusted nuts. The trader's stock is randomized; the save-and-reload reroll trick applies to ammunition shopping like everything else.

The specific caliber types and their damage differences are part of the launch-week crowdsourcing effort. Confirmed: calibers are per-gun and drops match the enemy's weapon. The verified table will be published here as the data firms up.
